Teen recovering after car surfing accident
TEEN IS ALMOST KILLED WHILE CAR SURFING THE 15 YEAR OLD WAS RIDING ON THE BUMPER OF AN S-U-V WHEN HE FELL AND HIT HIS HEAD ON THE PAVEMENT CRIS ORNELAS IS LIVE NEAR RIO RANCHO HIGH SCHOOL WITH REACTION FROM STUDENTS CRIS THIS HAPPENED ABOUT 11 30 THIS MORNING POLICE SAY A 15 YEAR OLD WAS RIDING ON THE BACK OF AN SUV DRIVEN BY HIS 16 YEAR OLD BROTHER THEY DROVE ABOUT A BLOCK BEFORE THE VICTIM FELL AS THE SUV WAS SLOWING DOWN FOR A STOP SIGN PARAMEDICS SAY HE HIT HIS HEAD ON THE ASPHALT THE BOY WAS AIR- LIFTED TO UNM HOSPITAL WITH A SERIOUS HEAD INJURY ALTHOUGH THIS HAPPENED RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET FROM RIO RANCHO HIGH SCHOOL NEITHER BOY IS A STUDENT THERE POLICE SAY THEY ARE HOME SCHOOLED EXCEPT FOR A SINGLE CLASS THEY TAKE AT A NEARBY CHURCH that s WHERE THE BOYS WERE COMING FROM WHEN THE ACCIDENT HAPPENED no one at anytime should ever ride on the rear bumper of a vehicle as you can see something like this can happen and it can turn out to be very tragic its really sad because he s in my class and I dont know its just sad i m scared I hope he s ok POLICE HAVE NOT CHARGED THE BROTHER THEY SAY ANY DECISION ON THAT COULD TAKE A COUPLE OF DAYS MINUTES AGO-- WE

Dirt Bike Death I.D.
The Highway Patrol has identified a 13-year-old boy killed after two dirt bikes collided in mid air near Linton in an attempt to jump a field approach The patrol says 13-year-old Robert Vetter of Linton died of injuries Sunday after he and the other dirt bike driver 16-year-old Tyler Gross of Linton were driving in the bottom of a ditch and tried to jump the field approach from opposite directions The approach is at the top of a small hill and the two boys could not see each other The 16-year-old was taken to a Bismarck hospital for treatment of his injuries
